FACTORY MANAGERS' ASSOCIATION.
, ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the New ZeaI land Factory Managers' Association was held at the iShow Grounds, Palmerston, , on Wednesday. Mr. J. Murray presided. The annual report' stated that the managers who last season had experiI onced the shortage and poor class of j labor had had the war brought home I to them, and the quality of New ZcaI land cheese had been maintained by the I strenuous work and strict supe'rvlsibli of i the managers. It had.been impossible ' this year to carry out the suggestion to hold periodical meetings at various cenI tres. A number of members were at the j front, and all wished them God-speed , and a safe return. A number of new : members had been enrolled during the year, especially from Auckland and Waikato. There was a credit-balance of '£lß Ms. { The report' and balance-sheet were adopted. ' It was stated that about thirty mem- , berr. had not paid their subscriptions. ' The Dairy Commissioner, Mr. D. Cudi die, and congratulated the . managers who were exhibiting at the show on the excellence of their exhibits, i The butter was so uniform that it might I all liave been made in the one factory. I This was particularly gratifying in view of the difficulties encountered. I Officers were elected as follows:—President, Mr.' J7Hurray; vice-presidents, Messrs. Parlane, M'Keown. Souness; executive, Messrs. J. G. Ward, G. N. Weir. (P. 0. Q Petersen, 3. Petersen, Harvey, 'Middleton, Fletcher, and Kleeman; seere/tary and treasurer, Mr. J. B. Wainscott; auditor, Mr. W. E. Bendall. A committee was appointed to revise ithe rules, and it was decided to hold ' ithe next annual meeting at Hamilton, if ithat is made possible under the rules.
