THE BENSLEY FUND
The main victim of the whirlwind in New Plymouth on Saturday was Mr. Bensley, whose house and furniture were reduced to matchwood, his wife and children having a miraculous escape from death. There was no insurance, and the family are left practically destitute. We suggested on Monday that the case was a fitting one for public help, and wo are able to acknowledge the following subscriptions to what is a very deserving cause:—
Band will jfive a recital at Moturoa, when a collection will be taken up in aid of the fund.
