Myers, acting-Minister of Finance, has furnished particulars relating to revenue and- expenditure for the month/ of May. Commenting on the figures, the Minister sajd the total revenue for the first tw month's of the current financial year was greater by £93,220 than the revenue for 'the corresponding months of last year. The increase was due principally to the in-come-tax. As was to be expected, there had been a falling-off of both cusjtoms and railway revenue. The expenditure for the two months shpws an increase of £287Ji22 on the corresponding, period of •■ftst year. This was partly due to the additional pension's payable,, also to the Jact that the aunking fund naturally grow heavier year by year ajs the new loan* are raised.
