At a meeting held in Trafalgar Square ; to .protest against Mr. Ramsay MacDonald's visit to Petrograd, a telegram i was read from, a branch of the Seamen's and Firemen's Union stating they had Mac Donald and Jowett as prisoners, and that the'crew refused to sail with them. PREMIER ASKED TO CANCEL THE PASSPORTS. "n Reuter Service/ I Received June 11, 10 p.m. London, June 11. Tho meeting in Trafalgar Square unanimously resolved deploring the issue ,of passports to Messrs Mac Donald and J,owett, and deploring the claim that they represent British Labor. The meeting requested Mr. I Lloyd George ta cancel ' the passports. ! /ME. CHURCHILL'S APPOINTMENT I OPPOSED. I Received June 11, 5.S p.m. London, June 10. Mr. Churchill's appointment, ivhich is. not confirmed, meets with strong opposition. Lord Beresford bitterly condemns it. A PRINTER'S STRIKE. London, June 10. There is a strike of printers in Man- ' cheSter for increased wages, and several newspapers have not appeared this morning. SUBSCRIPTIONS TO INDIAN 1 LOAN. Calcutta, June 10. War loan subscriptions have reached £80,000,000. , AMERICAN VISITORS AT WALTON. London, June 10. ' Colonel Bradley, the United States Director of Medical Services, with a number of officers and visitors, visited the New Zealand hospital at Walton-on-Thames.
