CATHOLIC PRIESTS AND STUDENTS By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. When appeals of the Catholic priests and theological students and Marist tetrliers were before the Military Service) Board to-day, the military 'representative said he was instructed to oppose all appeals of theological students unless it was proved students had taken their vows, and, as the representative of the Catholic Hierarchy said, he could not give information as a matter of certainty, the case was adjourned so that information could be procured. Regarding the appeals for several priests, the chairman said the bdr.rd would reserve it? decision sine die, and grant suspension from military service meantime, provided the authorities wore reposted from time to time that the reservists were still in the same position. Tt was to be understood that the cases might come p for revision before the Second Division was called up. The appeals for the Marist teachers wore adjourned until Friday, as evidence had not been brought regarding the question of whether the schools were understaffed.
