ACCIDENTS.
ME. C. LEH'KR BREAKS A LEO. The many friends of Mr. C. Leppc-r will regret to hear that whilo playing with a child on his verandah he slipped off and broke one of his lees, and is now an inmate of the New Plymouth Hospital. A FATALITY NARROWLY AVERTED. While riding along one of the roads at Urenui on Saturday, Willie Pigott, son of Mr. R. 'Pigott, sustained a fall from his horse, being thrown against an iron telegraph post, whereby his skull was fractured. He was brought to the New Plymouth Hospital and at once received attention, but there appears to be no doubt that ho had a miraculous escape from sudden death. Upon enquiry last nisrht we learn that the sufferer's condition was as favorable as could be expected.
