Several gifts have been received at the depot this week to be disposed of for patriotic funds. The committee wish to thank Mr. Bennett for kindly lending clock for use iu depot, also Mr. Cock for donating sack of flags, Messrs. Paul and Zemba for cutting out material, and a kind friend who washes and irons our linen, etc., ready for packing. The patriotic rooms are open every .Tuesday evening for sewing. Garments are ready cut out and any members of last years' Busy Bees or young ladies engaged during the day wiil be welcome. Thirty-six holdalls have been presented to men leaving for Trentham, three cases of gifts for troopships, including gramaphone and records, WO lbs of cake, also four cases of books.
