EMPIRE DAY CELEBRATIONS.

At the meeting held in the Coronation Hall yesterday afternoon, final arrangements were made (or Empire Day. Doors will be open at 2.30 o'clock and the flag saluted at 3 sharp. Archdeacon Evans will speak to the flag, and the Rev. Palgrave Davy has kindly consented to give a short address. There will he many atractiona, and it is hoped there will be a record gathering. The Mayoress asks all friends who arc donatink sweets, cakos, etc., for Empire Day, to send their gifts to the Coronation Hall on Monday morning.
