Sugar.—Standard, granulated, £4O 9s, commission having raided all prices. Copper.—Spot £l3O ss; throe months, £l2O 10s; electrolytic, £l4O. Lead.—Spot £3O 10s; three months £29 10s. Spelter.—Spot '£s4; three months £SO. Tin.—Spot £253 15s; three months £250 15s. Silver.—3/2 oz. BUTTER AND CHEESE. Received June 1, 10.35 p.m. London, June 1. The butter trade is at a standstill. There are good supplies of all descriptions. Buyers are holding off to the diminished consumption, and also to the impression that the retail prices may be fixed at below the present level. Danish is nominally about 2025; choicest Australian, 180/- to 190/-; New Zealand, 190/- to 194/-. Cheese.—Business is suspended till supplies are released.
