Wellington, Last XighU A meeting of the New Zealand Sheep* owners' Federation resolved to intimate to the Military Service Boards of the Dominion that sheepowners did not desire sheflrers in the First Division exempted in every case on the plea of it being rnccssary to an essential industry- They ( desired to see the war finished, and while certain agricultural and pastoral workers vero necessary for maintaining pro. duction, so far as the shearers wen concerned, the older men and lads under military age can undertake tlw work. Tn all cases of exemption applied for, the opinion of the Efficiency Boapd Trustee! should be obtained.
