NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
MEET AT SENTRY HILL. A most enjoyable afternoon wa3 spent by the members of the North Taranaki Hunt on Mr. T. IT. Sampson's property, Sentry Hill, on Thursday, the large number of followers, including one lady, having a good run for over a couple of.niiles. There was some good jumping; only one spill taking place during the afternoon, and tho spectators who Had arrived in cars were able to follow out and back again! as the hare kept fairly close, to the road all the way, and doubled back to near tho starting place, where the kill took place. After tho run the members of the Hunt and their friends were hospitably entertained at the homestead by Mr. and Mrs. Sampson, who were thanked by Mr. A. 11. Halcombe for their kindness in entertaining the club, and also for allowing the Hunt the use of the property. Mr. Halcombe also included the neighboring farmers who had allowed the hunt to cross their properties. Cheers were given for Mr. and Mrs. Sampson and for the lady follower.
