DE LA KEY'S PLOT FRUSTRATED BY HIS DEATH. Cape Town, Feb. 20. The report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into tho rebellion of 1014 has been lajd on the tabic of tho House of Assembly. It finds that the causes of the rebellion were the desire of a largo section of the former Republics to regain independence and establish a republic in South Africa, and the conviction that the war provided an opportunity for this plan. The report adds that Generals De La Rey and Beyers intended to start a.rebellion at Potchefstroom in September 1914, but this was frustrated by Do La Rev's death.—Reuter.
