AN ADVERTISING CLAIM. Australian Cable Association. Sydney, May 24. A case was heard in court arising out of a disputed advertising claim. Defendant took up the ground that t\e establishment and maintenance of a labor paper could not lawfully be an object of an industrial union, and was a contravention of the Companies Act, The Judge found for plaintiff and ruled that -it was a perfectly legal course. The Defence Department has arranged a system of proper safeguards whereby advances may be made to soldiers at the front on furlough up to £lO. This will largely ohviato friends in Australia cabling money, which lias assumed large proportions, aggregating nearly £SOOO daily.
