EVERYBODY'S.
LAST NIGHT OF "THE .PILLORY." Emotion is the keynote of this fine Pathe Gold Booster play, "The Pillory," showing for the last time at Everybody's to-night. The love story running through is sweet, and there is a succession of fine dramatic scenes. A fine characterisation is that of old Deborah, who in her bigotry considers it Ker duty to "cast down the proud." The heroine is off-set by Meg Doherty, a girl crook, who part in the story follows with great naturalness. The court and prison scenes are quite unique, and there is also a peep at an under-world restaurant which must have been photographed from the genuine article.
