LOANS TO TURKEY. ' HUN MONEYBAGS GROWING ANXIOUS. Received May 15, 8 p.m. Berhe r May 14. In the May number of the Prussian year book, Emil Zimmerman estimates that Germany has advanced Turkey nearly three thousand million marks (£160,000,000 nominal) during the war. There is anxiety in financial circles lest Turkey will be unable to repay the loan. •£■% A GERMAN MESSAGE. , < Received May 16, 8 p.m. (London, May 14. 'A wireless ■3erman official message states: We increased our artillerying at the Ypres-Wytschaete bends. An isolated English advance near Oppy and, Fampoux failed. Bitter fighting was continued at Bullecourt. We retained the ruins against several attacks. The destruction wrought by the enemy shelling St. Quentin ,is increasing daily. Twelve enemy aeroplanes and a balloon were dawned yesterday. Wireless Berlin reports state that the English cruiser Cordelia was mined and badly damaged 'between England and Scotland and was towed to Barrow. The British Press Bureau states the report is untrue.
