INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent). Inglewood, May 14. A special meeting of the Moa Road Board was held on Saturday, when the Into chairman, Mr. Trimble, occupied the chair, and called for nominations for the position of chairman, and on the motion 01 Mr. Honwood, seconded by Mr. Hair, .Vir. A. Corkill was elected to the position. Mr. Corkill then moved: "That the board place on record its appreciation of the efforts of the chairman and the very able manner in which he had carried out his duties during his long term as a member, and thegreater part of the time as chairman of the board. This was seconded by Mr. Henwood, who endorsed the sentiments of the mover, and carried unanimously. Mr. Trimble suitably replied, thanking the members for their kind remarks, ami the resolution. Mr. Corkill thanked the board for the honor they had conferred on him in electing him as their chairman.
