KAISER FIRED UPON.
TWO UNLUCKY SHOTS. Received May 0, 1.40 a.m. Rome, May 8. The Corriere d'ltalia states that three shots were, lired at the Kaiser whilst motoring to Berlin. Two struck the care. The perpetrator was arrested.
iAN OUTSPOKEN- DEPUTY. ! Amsterdam, May 7. ; Herr Colin, in the Reichstag, vigorously attacked the Government for compelling soldiers to subscribe to the war loan. He also protetsed against Germany's methods of warfare, including submarine alid air raids on London, which could not definitely he regarded as a fortified town. Improved food conditions were impossible during the war [period. The people were hungering for political equality. The Speaker called Herr Cohen to order when he declared that the Gov' eminent was responsible for the war.
