IRRESJSTIBLE ATTACK. ENEMY DRIVEN BACK. Received May 3, 7-15 p.m. London, May 2. A Mesopotamian official message states that General Maude on Monday attacked the Thirteenth Turkish Army Corps, which waß strongly entrenched on both banks of the Shatt el Adhaim, and took tho enemy by surprise. The first two lihes, including a fortified village, were rapidly and irresistibly stormed. A strong counter-attack lost us the village, but It was speedily regained and the enemy driyen back to the Jibeh Hamait Hills. Prisoners to the number of 3501, including the regimental commander, were captured.
