Afterwards Mr. Lansing and Mr. Balfour called 011 Prcr-idcnt Wilson, Mr. Balfour smiling as lie noticed the suffragette pickets on eiiher side of the entrance to White House. The meetingl of the Presid'jnt and Mr. Balfour was simple, but extremely cordial. Meetings of naval and .-military members of the entourage were held with the American departmental heads.
