'APPEALS BY UNION COMPACT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, April 19. Ho fore the Military Service Board a»' peals were made on behalf of 24 marina engineers. Mr, Kennedy, Wellington manager for the Union Company, said thai company had gone fully into the mat« ter and .was quite satisfied that the withdrawal of the engineers ealltd up in the ballot would mean nothing short of disaster.
