BRITISH TROOPS ENTHUSIASTIC. Reuter Service. Received April 17, 6.15 p.m. April 10. A message from headquarters states: The news that the great French offensive had started this morning ran through our army like wildfire, and evoked the greatest enthusiasm. GERMAN MESSAGE. , Received April 17, 8.40 p.m. London, April lfl. A wireless German official message says there has been little fighting in the Arras district. The great French attempt, with the far-distant object of breaking through on the Aisnc, commenced after 10 days' massed fire. A bitter fight is proceeding arouad our foremost position on a frontal attack of 40 kilometres. '
