CABINET SPLIT. OVER WHEAT ELEVATORS,. ' Sydney, April 12. A Cabinet split lias developed over the question of accepting a tender of £3,000,000 for the erection of wheat;, elevators. The majority of Ministers are not in sympathy with Mr. Holman in spending such a sum in war time, when loan money is so scarce.
AUSTRALIAN FARMERS. FINANCIAL TROUBLES. . Sydney, April 12. At the conference of the Country Wheat Agents' Association it was stated that a large number of fanners had been compelled to sell out and seek more profitable .occupations. There would only be half the acreage under wheat next season compared .villi last year.
