GOLF.
THE EASTER TOURNAMENT. Tliis Easter, as usual, tho Taranaki Golf Tournament will be held on tho New Plymouth club's links at Wataftkai.ho to-day and Monday. This year, owing to the number of golfers who have gone to the front, the programme has been somewhat curtailed by the deletion of the championship. A bogey match will be played this morning, eommening at 1) sharp, and a medal match this afternoon. On Monday morning a bogey match will be played, and the scopes in these three matches will bn counted in an eclectic match. On Monday afternoon a four-ball bogey match will be played. Entries closed Thursday night, and they include representatives of all the local clubs, as well as visitors from Wellington, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Paten, Ilawera, Inglewood, Waituro:, etc,, and as post entries will be taken by the secretary, Mr W. H. Wood, the entries will doubtless be increased. Ladies' matches will be played each day, commencing at 10.30 a.m. Complete arrangements have been mndo for the -successful conduct of the tournament Afternoon tea will be provided, but players are advised to make their own luncheon arrangements, tea being provided by the 'club,
