TOHUNGAISM.
LEADS TO A MUEDEE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, March 31. At Kaitaia the inquest regarding the death of Mitai Aperahama, whose body was exhumed on March 7, was concluded. The following verdict was returned by the jury:—"That Mitai Aperahama died on or about August 14, 1913, in the Victoria Valley, and that the eight persons arrested, as well as Hariata Hura xnd Pari Horima (now dead), and Hori Horima or George Karima (now at the war), on or about August 14, 1913, did, cause the death of Mitai Aperahama by suffocation at Victoria Valley." The jury added a rider that tohunga18m was practised both on tile date of the murder and for a long time previously in the Victoria Valley,
