Kitto, the application was refused. TUTUTAWA SETTLEMENT. The Commissioner of Crown Lands submitted a plan of the proposed subdivision of the Tututawa Settlement (A. L. Perry's), with schedules of proposed prices, rentals and conditions for the consideration of the Board-—Section IS, block 13, Ngatimaru S.D. 183 acres; section 2S, Block 13, Ngatimaru, 198 acres; section 3S, block 13, Ngatimaru, 345 acres. Six-roomed dwelling and outhouses to be paid for separately in cash or in 14 years (interest and sinking fund) by half-yearly instalments.—Apnrnvc;!.
GENERAL. Mr. E. Tolme, Crown Lands Ranger, forwarded statutory reports on inspection ol 29 holdings; area. 54C0 acres; improvements required, £57(i(S; improvements effected, £14,45'0. Two defaulters for residence and two defaulters for residence and improvements. Mr. E. A. Meredith, Crown Lands Ranger, forwarded statutory reports on inspection of 11 holding's; area. 5007 acres; improvements required, £2559; improvements effected, £4053; two defaulters for improvements. 11. G. Silvester, lessee under yearly tenancy, 4ac. 2r. 2p., wrote objecting to the increase in rent proposed to be charged for a renewal of tenancy .-*Resolved to fix the rental at 3s per acre per annum.
K. 11. Cook, lessee of section 3, block 2, Bangi S.D., fiflac. 2r. 27p., applied for aii extension of time in which to take up residence—Granted six months.
Mr. E. A. Meredith, Crown Lands Ranger, forwarded report on resuming possession of sectionfflfl, Opunake suburbs, 12ac. 3r,~-Resolved to submit for leasing -by auction at an upset rental of £lO per annum, under section a (g) of the Public Bodies Leases Act. 1918.
Also on resuming possession of section 11, block 7, .Omona S.D., 4f)o acres. —Resolved to offer under .part 111. of the Land Act at a capital value of 25s per acre.
Also a Teport on resumption of section 15, block 8, Omona S.D., 7CO acres. —Resolved to offer under part 111. ol the Land Act at a capital value of 20s per acre.
He also forwarded a report on resumption of section 12, block 7, Omona S.D., Sl9 acres.—Resolved to rc-offcr undef part 111. of the Land Act at 25s per acre capital value, without any loading for improvements now gone back.
"THIRDS." The following "thirds" proposals wore approved:— Ohura County Council, '£1284 Os 9d, to September 30, 1916. Egmont bounty Council, Bs, to September 30, 1910. Whangamomona County Council, '£6o 17s 9d, to September 30, 1910. ■ SOLDIERS' SECTIONS. E. A'. Wyatt, lessee of section 1, block i, Malioe S.D., 620 acres, applied for exemption from residence, as lie was leaving for active service.—Twelve months' exemption granted. ' F. W. O'Sullivan, lessee oE R.L. section 12, block 10, Totoro S.D., 559 acres, selected February 23, 1910. applied for exemption from personal residence for four years, in terms of section IO'O (3) of the Land Act,' 1908.—Approved. IN COMMITTEE. The Board, in committee, dealt with three applications for consent to mortgage at current rates of interest. ■An application from a discharged sol-dier-settler for a further advance on account of improvements effected was recommended for approval. Two selectors absent on active service applied for rental remission during their absence, but the applications were adjourned for further particulars.
