■LAST NIGHT OP MARGUERITE CLARK IN "STILL WATERS." Marguerite Clarke his never appeared to better advantage than in the Lasky feature, "Still Waters," screened for the first time at- the Empire last night. This dainty little lady enters into a part full of bubbling, sparkling life in a manner that completely captivated last night's big audience. Supporting the star is "Angel or Demon," from the poem by Ella Wheeler Wilcox and a humorous comedy Btudy. TO-MORROW. For a two-night season Mary Pickford will contest her rights for supremacy in the film world in a character admirably suited to her peculiar charm, "Esmeralda,' from the book by Francis Hodson Burnett.
