GOLF CLUB MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondent). Itiglewood, March 20. There was a very fair attendance at the annual meeting'held in the Parish Hall on Friday evening last. The president, Mr. F. Brown, occupied the chair and read the annual report and state- ' ment of receipts and expenditure. The finances of the club were exceptionally i good. The club commenced its season ' with a credit balance of £l7 0s 7d, and, after payment of all expenses, had a credit of some £2B odd. Eight of the members are at present with the forces, and, considering the comparatively small ' size of the club, the members should feel proud that so many have offered their services. All these members had been rctainiAl on the list of membership, > The i-lnb has at present a membership of 41. Owing to the war, our matches with outside clubs were last season abandpned, but our monthly medal competitions were continued, and there were two enjoyable competition days on the home links, the proceeds of which were handed to the lied Cross funds. The ladies have had a very successful season, notwithstanding the fact that no outside matches were played. The local competitions proved a success in ever.. , mv. and the thanks of the committee are due to those persons who generouslv donated tiophics. The thanks of the , committee are also due to Mr. W. Marshall and Mr. Harold Thomson for the ■ use of their grounds. The links are now _ in excellent order, having been well . cared for during the past summer sea- , son.

The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £2B lis 3d, and together with tlu report was unanimously adopted. The election of officers was tli«n taken with the following result:— I'resident, Mr. V.
