WORLD FILM'S GREAT SUCCESS. "THE HAND OF PERIL. The fascinating mystery which surrounds the work of the secret service police offers splendid scope for thrilling incident and sensational climax in the World Film Corporation's latest dramatic success, "The Hand of Peril," to be presented- as the premier attraction at Everybody's Theatre to-night. "The Hand of Peril" is a filmic, adaptation of Arthur Stringer's sensational story of the under-world, in which his famous hero—Kestner—of the United States Secret Service, is engaged in hunting down and rounding up a notorious band of countcr-feiters headed by a. master criminal. The role is an. ideal one for House Peters, the handsome film favorite, who invests Kestner with a dashing and compelling personality. Kestner plays a lone hand against the gang, and discovers in their toils a sweet woman whose better nature longs for the straighter path. After disposing of the lesser lights o" the gang Kestner turns hi.? attention to the master criminal, and overpowers him in a terrific hand-to-hand struggle that leaves nothing to be desired in the way of realism. The way is then elc.-.r for the course of true - love, and a pretty romance brings the start to a happy ending. One striking feature of the play depicts the entire interior of a seven-roomed house, with the side nearest the spectators removed to reveal the action of the vestory as it is developed in different rooms*at the same time. The result is an absorbing study of plot and counterplot. The supporting items arc an entertaining selection.
