KAWAROA PARK.

EASTER CARNIVAL. A management committee meeting of the above society was held in the Bungalow on Friday evening, Mr. V. H. Beal (chairman) presiding over a large attendance of members. Reports from the various sub-com-mittees in connection with the Easter picnic were received. Mis. Bullians will accompany the Waihi school children on 'Easter Monday, the displays of Swedish drill and dumbbell exercises being under Mr. Bullians' direction. The chairman announced that Master Blondini will also perform on the tight rope with his father. The secretary stated that entries for .the schools' relay race and tug-of-war were coming in. It was decided to start the children's races .and sports at 11 a.m., so as not to clash with the main programme of displays.

The various committees reported progress in connection with the different games and side-shows. Several.new and povel displays will be jiresented to the public.

A letter was received from the Bor. ough Council granting permission to use Buckley Terrace on Easter Monday for the convenience of motor-cars and traps. The Citizens' Band has been engaged ,to play at the picnic. A general meeting will be held next Friday to receive reports from the ladies re the afternoon tea arrangements and various stalls.
