LONDON MARKETS^ Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. London, March 22. The produce exchange has decided not to altei maximum prices before April 13. The butter market is idle, with merely hand-to-mouth business. Buyers are holding off, expecting prices to .further recede, as it is estimated that half a million boxes of Australian and 200,000 lioxe3 of . New Zealand butter are afloat and expected to arrive within ten weeks. Quotations are largely nominal. Choicest Australian, salted 200s to 2045, unsalted lflGs to 200s; New Zealand, salted 210s to 2125, unsalted 20-1 s to 208s. Cheese is firm and unchanged. Sugar.—Standard granulated, 41s to 71s 2d.' Furniture and sundries on account of Mr Bert Russell sold well.
At Stony River on Tuesday, 20th.— There was a good entry of cows, but very few weaners, those yarded being very rough. More than the advertised number of sheep came forward, 3101 being yarded, and 2857 sold. Prices were slightiy easier.
