TRAIN SERVICES.

TO BE REDUCED AFTER EASTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March 22. Speaking at the annual meeting of the Canterbury A. &P. Association tonight, the Hon. W. D. S. MacDonakl said that after the Easter holidays there would be some reduction in train services, but to what extent he did not know, that being outside his Department.

We understand that so far as Taranaki is concerned there will be little or no reduction in the services. The main services will remain, but it is likely the goods-passenger trains will be abolished, or ab least, the passenger cars, which involve a good deal of extra work, will he taken off-the goods trains.
