POLICE PROMOTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, March 22. The following police promotions are announced:—To be sergeants: Constables 'P. H. C. Boulton (New Plymouth), F. H. Fearnley (Waiuku), M. Fleming (district clerk, Auckland), J. Powell (district clerk, Wanganui), and J. McAlister (Freeman's Bay, Auckland). To bo detective-sergeants: Detectives A. Hammond (Auckland;,, T. Gibsou (Cliristchurch), A. K. 'Andrews (Wellington), and R. R. Ward (Greyiuouth).
