OPENING PROCEEDINGS. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Received Marcli 22, 6.5 p.m. London, March 21, Mr. Walter Long and Mr. Austen: Chamberlain welcomed the Imperial' Conference delegates to the Colonial Office. Mr. Lloyd George was absent owing to the pressure of business. Mr. Long presided at the Conference, which lasted two hours, and adjourned till Saturday. A report of the proceedings will not be published. It is understood the Conference has decided, owing to the most immediate subjects being associated with military operations, that 1 it is inadvisable to disclose the proceedings. ' '
