THE EMPIRE.
MARY PICKFORD TO-NIGHT IN "THE ETERNAL GRIND." s No matte what kind of character "Our Marf) attempts, she is certain to make a success of it, and to infuse a checriness and freshness which are irresistible. Iu "The Eternal Grind," which was screened at the Empire Theatre last night, she is delightful, and while bringing out the humor of the character rises at times almost to the heights of tragedy. It is the story of a man's sacrifice of all with whom he comes hr contact in his desire for money. The story is admirably suited to Mary's quaint style, and she adds those-' delicious -touches of humor over which she seems to exercise "exclusive rights." "TinEternal Grind" tvill rank with the greatest successes of the world-famous artiste. The same programme will be repeated to-night and to-morrow. •
