A letter was received from the Central Executive, London, congratulating members on the successful formation of the liead Centre and asking for information to be published in the Swimming Magazine. Reports were received of the Tabor Shield competition, which this year was again won by the East End team; and the demonstration recently given at Lepperton. A vote of thanks was passed to the Rev. E. Culliford (Eltham) for his assistance at the examination for the Society's diploma recently, and it was decided to add his name to the list of official examiners. Examiners' reports for the month's work, covering 21 awards, were received. ' It was decided to procure the charts necessary for the instruction of those entering for the society's medallion, and a snb-comm-rttct to obtain these was appointed to act' With Dr. Wade. A resolution was carried that, in view of the reports given at the last meeting of the executive and a subsequent statement by Mr J. W. Ilayden in the press, the following facts should be made public: "The new belt provided by the society and fixed to the reel at Ngamotu was removed from the reel and put away by one of the Ngamotu officials, without authority, rendering the reel useless. The belt was still missing during the holiday season, when the secretary of the Royal Life-saving Society ' visited Ngamotu and made unsuccessful inquiries of committeemen on the beach; but the belt was immediately produced when it was stated by the secretary that be was there officially to learn where it was. Mr Hayden's statement that Mr Schwartz suggested the moving of the reel from the reel-house to the pavilion, and that lie insisted on carrying it, is incorrect, as Mr Schwartz war. making his complaint personally to Mr Hayden at the time the belt was produced and the reel moved."
