6TEIKERS PROSECUTED. By. Telegraph.—Pre33 Association. Wellington, March 7. The Labor Department is taking proceedings against the freezing chamber hands, in connection with tho recent, dispute at Westfield and Southdown freezing works, on a charge of failing to submit a dispute for investigation before ceasing work. It is the first case of the kind under the Labor Disputes Investigatort Act, 1913. The department {is also proceeding against the Wellington Boilermakers' Union for allegedly inciting a strike. Some weeks ago demands were maorc by the union and refused by the employers, and the union, it is alleged, decided that no overtime should be worked and that the men should refuse to work for any employer except the one by ■whom they were engaged.
