INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Owu Correspondent). . Inglewood, March 5. The following entriiined this morning for camp: —Messrs Broadmore, Clough, Jordan, D. Paterson, F. Xieliolls, Bishop (2) and Taylor. Following the usual custom when the boys are leaving, a parcel of comforts was presented to each. The Patriotic Committee assembled at the sta.tion, and the Mayor addressed the men, and called for cheers, which were lustily given, before the train departed, The Salvation Army have just completed a very successful harvest thanksgiving festival, the effort resulting in a profit of £34 17s, £5 Is of which was taken at Dudley road. On Monday a concert was held in the hall and was very largely attended, members of other denominations assisting with the programme. On Tuesday the produce was sold, Mia, Cutfield wielding the hammer in his usual pleasing manner. The officers wish especially to thank Mr. Musk for the loan of his piano, and all others who assisted in bringing the festival to such a successful issue.
Inglewood is pleased to know that hoine-boats are going to 'berth at New Plymouth, and congratulates the Harbor Board in bringing about such a successful condition 01 affairs.
