27t.h REINFORCEMENTS. An unusually large crowd gathered at tlie railway station yesterday morning to farewell the New Plymouth draft of the 27th Reinforcements. The recruits were entertained 'by the Women's Patriotic League, and oil marching to the station were officially farewelled. The Mayor (Mr. C. IT. Burgess) was present, and Mr. C. E. Bellringer, on behalf of the Patriotic Committee, addressed the men. lie reminded them of the wonderful record achieved by the New Zealand forces in the present war, and he felt sure the present reinforcements would do their duty in the same way as those who had gone before them. He wished them God-speed and good luck. Hearty cheers were given for the men, and the Citizens' Band played patriotic numbers.
