WHOLESALE DESTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS. - , Received. March 5, 5.5 p.m. ( Paris, March 4. Official: Le Journal states thai in 754 communes which have been liberated from the enemy, 40,203 houses were partially or completely destroyed, excluding over 1300 churches and other public buildings. In 147 communes between 50 and 100 per cent, of the houses were destroyed.
