At a military parade at Te Kuiti, for | the presentation of medals, in the presence of over !!00 Territorials and some -.'.ousaiiil residents, Sir Jamc3 Allen presented Mr T. Frost, or Kelvin House, le Kuiti, with the French decoration of this Croix de Guerre and the Distinguished Conduct Medal, awarded to tlio late Sergeant-Major Frost, who wu killed in the £omuie offensive. In tendering his resignation as a member of the Taranaki County Council, Mr J. Brown wrote to the Council yesterday, thanking the members for the many kind acts they lmd shown to himself as i'hairman and member. Ho had served on the council for sixteen years, and regretted severing his connection with it. He also thanked Mr R. 0. Ellis, the clerk, for the great assistance given him. Hie council accepted Mr Brown's resignation with regret, and passed a resolution expressing the council's appreciation of his long services.
