STRATFORD.
[All communications, letters, etc., left with Mr. J. Hopkins, bookseller, will receive prompt attention.] A. AND P. ASSOCIATION'. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, March 5. The president (Mr. E. Jackson) informed me that thy contractor (Mr. J. W. Boon) is about to commence the alterations to the show grounds approved at the last general committee meeting. These alterations include the conversion" of the present people's stand into luncheon rooms, the latter -being utilised as a produce shed. These improvements will be appreciated by i-he public. In the past the caterers have been severely tried in attending to the wants of visitors, through space being cramped. The new arrangement will overcome this to a considrcable extent, and also allow the officials a second room for their convenience. Hitherto the providing of accommodation for the dog classes has involved much labor and expense that will now be obviated, and the alterations should prove satisfactory to owners and officials. Other improvements, apart from the buildings, will include alterations to the Flint Road entrance, which will be ploughed, dresfid and sown in grass. Th>, work will be done by a "working bee," and will be undertaken shortly. The membership of the Association is roughly over WOO, but the list is being revised. Matters in connection with the establishment of a model dairy farm .are well forward, and in a few days details as to finances, stocking, etc., should be available. GENERAL.
