POLITICAL RESIGNATIONS Australian-N.Z. Cablo Association. Melbourne, March 2. Senator Ready lias resigned, equalising the voting strength of the parties in the Senate. It is stated that Mr. Earle, formerly Premier of Tasmania, will be nominated for the vacancy, giving Mr. Hughes a majority in both Houses. Perth, March 2. In the Assembly, after a motion dissenting from the Speaker's ruling had been carried, the Speaker (Mr. Johnston) resigned.
