Lead, .-CSS 10?. Spelter—Spot £SO 15s. three months £53 153. THE BUTTER MARKET. Received March 2, 9.30 p.m. London, March 2. Butter is firm. There is a strong demand, though the high prices are checking business. Choicest Australian is 214/- to 218/-; New Zealand 224/- to 228/-. It is reported that Danish shipments are to be resumed, and that good quantities are expected next week, in addition to considerable shipments of Australian and New ZealandT It will then be about a month before the next colonial shipment arrives. Cheese is very scarce, the stocks in London being only 24,224 crates. Canadian is quoted nominally at about 170/lUNK OF ENGLAND RETURXS. London, March 2. There is good competition and all <|n:; lities are extremely firm. The thud series will be held on March 20, Bradford reports a strong market fur sheepskins, 3149 were offered. Thenwas good competition and both merinos and erosshreds advanced 3Jd.
