THE EMPIRE.
"THE JUNGLE CHILD." A powerful and fascinating drama of primitive love and elemental hatred was played out to a thrilling climax in the Triangle Company's latest success, "The Juncle Child," which was the star attraction of the new programme at the Umpire last night. The opening scenes, set in South America, depict wilderness and jungle, with a white child in an rndian camp the centre of attraction. Later on the story develops, the action of fhe piece is transferred to New York, ami the closing scenes depict life amidst the gay revelry of high society. In addition to this there are some good supporting films. MATINEE TO-MORROW. The children's matinee to-morrow afternoon will commence as usual at 2 p.m. A special selection of pictures will be screened the chief item being "Fairyland," a delightful fariy story picturing a clnlds' dream, which will prove equally entertaining to adults ns well as the kiddies. Another film sure to be popular with the little ones is ''Broncho Billy's Adventures."
