THE NORWOODS.
The opening night of the Norwoods' farewell season of four nights at the Good Templar Hall last night was a great success, there being a packed house, which rocked with laughter, from the time the class of eight subjects walked upon the stage t>'l the fall of the curtain. While the elass was not large, it was good, two of them being Maoris, whose facial expressions were interesting in the extreme. A number of new scenes were presented by Mr Norwood, amongst which was a barber's shop scene, in which he, as well as the man shaved, got well lathered. "Day Hull's Hoky-Poky Corn Salve'' was also new, and brought house down, especially when a local young man claimed, "it would eat a tree stump out of the ground in one night." Miss Ruth Hamilton assisted Mr Norwood in a demonstration of telepathy and accomplished fourteen tests with great rapidity and accuracy, such as taking a locket from a lady's neck and putting it in a gentleman's p/cket- book, and taking a baby up to one of the young men on the stage and back to its mother again. Mr Norwood showed that he had lost none of his dash as,an entertainer, but rather proved himself better than ever, nad no moro enjoyable evening's ente. tainment could be suggested to complete the closing Show day than his at the Good Templar Ha-11 to-night, when an entire change of programme will be presented. Be jsure to see him; he is good.
