The chief point is the emphatic repudiation of' uny connection with the I.W.W. Mr.' Storey declared that the referendum, vote hub only only against conscript lion, but against the conscriptionists. He! favored a loan poliej, for the development of the country; the establishment; of a State bank, iwitih control of private banks; educational and housing r<*-' forms, the latter to be underaken by' the State and municipalities; full civil; and political rights for women; a mini- 1 mum living wage for women workers;' pensions for widows; reduction of the' taxes on income from personal exertion; production from the soil, with a corv responding increase of taxes upon un-l earned incomes; adhesion to the indux trial arbitration system. Mr. Storey said the State Governor) had received liis walking ticket, and wa»j shortly leaving. j Speaking in the Gordon Mr. Holman drew attention to Mr? Storey's repudiation of the LW.W., and' said that the next Labor Conference would carry a motion for the appoint-i mcnt of a Royal Commission to enquire; into the charges against the I.W.W. andthe Political Labor Leaguo 'would usa : its influence to remove Mr. Justice 'Pring' from the Bench, as he was a danger to; the working class. The caucus decided to oppose the motion for prolonging tho life of Parliament, which will probably be defeated by one vote in the Senate. AVOIDING DUAL TAXATION. Melbourne, February 2S. In the Federal House, Ifr. Hughes said the Government hoped to arrange «itli the States to avoid dual taxation on the same assets.
