ANNUAL CONFERENCE. By Telegraph.— Press Wellington, February 22. The fifth annual conference of the Methodist Church of New Zealand opened to-night, about *240 delegates beiii£ present, representing all parts of the Dominion. The president, Rev. F. A. La wry, presided and delivered a retiring uddress. Rev. W. A. Sinclair was elected pre sident, with 153 votes, and Mr. J Veale vice president, with 112 votes. Rev H. Drake was elected secretary. The new officers were installed aricl the conference adjourned.
