A Sydney sack" reports the death of Mr W. A. Gibb, Sydney manager of the New Zealand National Insurance Company, and at one time a prominent footballer.
Sergeant- Bullen, who hft9 been visiting New Plymouth on final leave during the past few days, left for Auckland by tlie Karawa last night, accompanied by Mrs Bullen.
The executive of the Taranaki Agricultural Society on Wednesday evening passed a resolution of sympathy with the widow and family of the late Mr. G H. White, who had been an active member of the society for many years past.
A Christclnirch telegram reports the death of Mr. Hugh Percy MurrayAynsley, aged 89. Mr. Murray-Aynsley til rived in Lyttelton In 1858, and was formerly member of the Provincial Council, and of the House of Representatives, and ev-chairman of the New Zealand Shipping Company. Sir James Allen, Acting-Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, -nil attend the annual show of the Taranaki Agricultural Society next week and will formally open the show on Thursday afternoon.
