FIRES.
A HOUSE DESTROYED. Auckland, Feb. 21. A five-roomed house, Carlton, Gore Road, waß destroyed by fire early this morning. Miss O'Connor, 82 years oi age, was rescued by Constable Collins, who dashed through -the burning building at considerable risk. Miss O'Connor ;is in hospital Buffering from considerable burns. The house was owned arih occupied by Mrs Lefenu and her daughter, who escaped in night attire •FIRE AT A FLAXMLL. Auckland, Last Night. &. fire destroyed the sapwopds at the 'ftnxmill at Pukekolie. It is estimated that the loss will amount to £IOOO, There tow no insurance.
