HAWKE'S BAY SEAT.

SIR J. FINDLAY STANDS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Sir J. Findlay has decided to seek election for Hawke's Bay, and ho left Wellington to-day. He states that he received a request, numerously signed, from people in the district, and was unanimously selected by the Liberal League convention. He has also been requested to stand by a large number of the Reform party, "and, finally, his candidature had the joint approval of Mr Massey and Sir Joseph Ward. "I understand," he added, "that neither officially or unofficially will there be any opposition to my candidature on the part of the Reform party. I propose to view the election entirely on national lines, and in support of the present national Government."
